Today I noticed oil on my garage floor under my TC33D. It appears to be dripping from the seals on the rear axle. It drips on the rims and runs down the inside sidewall of the rear tires. I should have noticed this before because there is dirt building up on the inside of the rims.

Does anyone else have this problem? The tractor still has 1 year of warrantee. Is there anything I should have the dealer do besides just replace the seals? What would cause them to start leaking?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you haven't done so already, I'd check the oil with all hydraulics retracted and on fairly level ground. Synthetic oil tends to be more leak prone than straight-weight petro oils. Some people have stopped leaks by switching back to petro but you wouldn't expect problems on a fairly new tractor.

I imagine the dealer will generally check the tractor over and likely would perform warranty maintenance if the hours are close to scheduled maintenance. I'd ask if that could be done since it might save a trip.
